The Haru range is a stunning collection of folded steel knives made in Seki. 16 layers of hammered steel surround a cutting core of VG-10. This hammering effect is called Tsuchime and is done for two reasons, to add to the beauty of the blade and to prevent the food sticking. Haru means “Spring” which we found fitting as we are launching them in the Spring! This large multi-layered chef’s knife is ideal for the preparation of large vegetables, fruit, boneless meats, fish and herbs. A suitable length knife to be used for carving boneless meats.
