Maple Boards

Kin boards are made in Michigan USA from Canadian Rock Maple, the best hardwood for the job. End grain is the best method of construction but edge grain still makes a quality board and is less expensive. A wooden chopping board allows the knife blade to sink into it instead of being dulled which often occurs with granite, glass and plastic boards. Also a recent study conducted at the University of Wisconsin - Madison Food Reserch Institute discovered that wooden cutting boards naturally kill 99.9% of bacteria within 3 minutes of contact.
